Software Engineer (Backend Developer)

We are hiring for a globally recognized financial institution that specializes in delivering cutting-edge wealth management and financial solutions. As a Software Engineer (Backend Developer), you will join a dynamic team dedicated to client communications and play a critical role in implementing high-quality backend software solutions. Collaborating with local and global teams across APAC and Switzerland, youll work on key regulatory and business improvement programs in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions that meet architectural standards.
• Manage and take ownership of significant development tasks end-to-end.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and testers, to ensure seamless rollouts.
• Design and develop microservices, multi-threaded systems, and batch processing systems.
• Implement application security frameworks to address authentication and authorization issues.
• Write detailed technical documentation for setting up development and testing environments.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years in enterprise application and system design with a focus on OOA/OOD and UML Modeling.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Java 8+ and Spring Boot/MVC frameworks.
• Experience with Hibernate, Junit, Test Driven Development (TDD), Maven, and Git/GitLab pipelines.
• Knowledge of UI frameworks like React and Angular.
• Strong understanding of Spring Security frameworks for authentication and authorization.
• Experience with deployment tools like Ansible, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Azure cloud.
• Familiarity with Liquibase, PostgreSQL DB, MQ, Apigee, and Bash scripting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver under time and quality constraints.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in containerization technologies and cloud deployments.
• Knowledge of multi-threaded design and database optimization.
