Work Hours: Full-Time, Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM (Philippine Time)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Subrogation Manager to lead our subrogation department, overseeing the recovery of liens and claims for personal injury cases. This role involves direct management of subrogation specialists, ensuring efficient processes and outcomes. The Subrogation Manager will handle complex cases involving Medicare, Medi-Cal, VA, and private insurance billing, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and maximizing recovery for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Subrogation Operations

    • Oversee the identification, management, and resolution of liens related to personal injury cases.
    • Manage the entire subrogation process, from claim investigation to recovery, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
    • Review and validate medical bills, liens, and claims for accuracy, ensuring compliance with Medicare, Medi-Cal, VA, and private insurance regulations.
  2. Team Leadership

    • Supervise and mentor a team of subrogation specialists, providing training, guidance, and support.
    • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure specialists meet performance goals and deadlines.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to review case progress, address challenges, and implement best practices.
  3. Negotiation and Resolution

    • Lead complex negotiations with medical providers, government agencies, and insurers to reduce liens and maximize client recovery.
    • Advocate for fair resolutions while adhering to legal and ethical standards.
    • Assist subrogation specialists with escalated cases, providing expertise and support.
  4. Compliance and Reporting

    • Ensure all subrogation activities comply with federal and state laws, including Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) guidelines.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of correspondence, settlements, and payments.
    • Provide regular reports on subrogation activities, recovery metrics, and team performance to leadership.
  5. Process Improvement

    • Identify inefficiencies in current subrogation workflows and implement improvements.
    • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the subrogation team to enhance accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in subrogation, lien resolution, or personal injury case management.
    • At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a related field.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, VA, and private insurance billing and subrogation processes.
  • Skills:

    • Exceptional negotiation and analytical skills.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficiency in legal and medical billing software and tools.
  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Law, or a related field (preferred but not required).
    • Certification in subrogation or related areas is a plus.
