Description

The Revenue Manager position is a new role that will oversee the Revenue Team. The Manager

position is a hands-on role that will be responsible for overseeing client invoicing, cash collections,

cash posting, act as the Finance point of contact for all internal and external clients and manage/train

the staff. This key team member will ensure that all processes related to Revenue and Accounts

Receivable are handled accurately, timely, and in accordance with the Company’s Policies. This

position will be responsible for working directly with clients, sales, and operations personnel, as well as

for periodic reporting on the volume and status of accounts receivable and is instrumental to the

Company’s revenue operations.


The ideal candidate will leverage knowledge of revenue recognition, billing procedures, and collection

techniques, along with great attention to detail, to help establish best practices within our growing

company. Strong communication skills are a critical skill. Understanding of and experience with sales

tax is also required.


Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with finance, sales, and delivery professionals to ensure timely and accurate invoices.
  • Create and distribute invoices via established systems and processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy of pricing and volumes.
  • Liaise with client accounts payable teams to ensure process synchronization and compliance with client invoicing practices.
  • Respond to client questions regarding invoices.
  • Own Company’s collections tool (Lockstep) and manage overall collections process to reduce Company’s DSO.
  • Post cash on a timely basis.
  • Oversee roll-out of new state sales tax filings as needed.
  • Manage/Train staff
Requirements
  • BS/BA in accounting, finance, business or relevant field
  • Strong understanding of billing and collection processes, and US GAAP as it relates to revenue.
  • 10+ years of experience in a client facing environment.
  • 10+ years of previous full cycle revenue; billing, customer service, collections, and cash applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable with accounting, mathematics and financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Trustworthy and discreet with regard to sensitive financial data 
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task and manage multiple deliverables

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in Sage Intacct, Lockstep and Avalara is a plus
