Position Overview:
Reporting to Clinical Business Director the Clinical Business Support Manager will be responsible for leading the Clinical Training Specialist Team and the Clinical Operations Supervisor overseeing the Clinical Operations Specialists.  Additionally, they will provide leadership, clinical business guidance and support to the Clinical Services Managers, District Sales Managers and Regional Business Directors along with the Commercial Sales Training teams at Insulet. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations for the Clinical Training Specialist team
  • Define, manage, and implement enhancements to processes and systems to refine the Clinical Training Specialist Team
  • Provide coaching and feedback to the Clinical Training Specialist team 
  • Collaborate with Regional Business Directors, District Sales Managers, Territory Managers, and Clinical Services Managers to address clinical vacancies
  • Oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the Clinical Operations Supervisor and support the team with improving clinical operation efficiencies
  • Collaborate with compliance, legal, regulatory, and accounts payable to oversee actions of the Clinical Operations Specialist
  • Weekly calls with business analyst to provide Salesforce enhancements to drive clinical efficiency and updates to meet business needs
  • Attend weekly calls collaborating with Sales Training, Medical Affairs, Instructional Design, as well as Project Managers from franchise groups to align on needs of meeting clinical efficiencies.
  • Offers feedback on clinical operation and training metrics to CBD to drive inspection, execution and implementation
  • Completes all administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Participate in bi-weekly conference calls with Clinical Business Director and join DSM or RBD calls as requested.
  • Provide support and assistance, as required, to the Vice President, Clinical Business

Director, Regulatory & Clinical Affairs, Product Support, Marketing, Managed Care and the Commercial Field Teams.

  • Responsible to aid in mentoring and developing the professional skills and training of Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Services Specialist employees as requested by CBD at annual meetings, CSM POA, or on field rides.
  • Promote and nurture the highest standards of clinical services to actively support our program-related initiatives and activities.
  • Ensures that all clinical employees execute field activities with a high degree of professionalism in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
  • Responsible to aid the CBD to train and educate the Customer Care team (Product Support) in relation to Omnipod Management System.
  • Follows and implements all Insulet policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
     
    Education and Experience:
  • BA/BS required with 3+ years of commercial experience in the Medical Device Industry.
  • Strong medical industry experience in diabetes and CSII therapies as well as clinical & diabetes training experience required.
  • Certification or Registration required; CDCES/RD or RN preferred; certification in advanced diabetes management preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Documented success in managing a team and driving commercial excellence
  • Patient and employee training experience and expertise
  • Advanced diabetes management skills specific to insulin requiring diabetes
  • Specific experience with insulin pump medical devices and channel market experience
  • Expert understanding of clinical practice recommendations and clinical protocols for training patients on insulin pump therapy following National Practice guidelines and National Standards of Care

Physical Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • The objective of this role is to provide cross functional clinical leadership and development experience to prepare the individual for potential future commercial opportunities. 
  • Field remote base role
  • Travel required- up to 20% for meetings (flight/car)

NOTE: This position requires field-based working arrangements (travel within assigned territory required). #LI-remote

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,800.00 - $159,050.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
