What's the role about?

The Business Support Manager for the Connected Living (CL) team at Assurant will play the pivotal role of driving collaboration between the multiple lines of business that fall under the Connected Living function.

Through the design and organisation of best in practice management programs, this role will support the Head of Connected Living to ensure that the Connected Living team are aligned and supported to deliver its goals in profitability, customer satisfaction, and global market thought leadership.

Some of the key responsibilities include: 

  • Assist in developing and supporting the coordination and implementation of strategic plans for the CL team and ensuring that all activities are aligned with the overarching Annual Operating Plan of the CL team and Assurant APAC as a whole.

  • Provide support to the Head of Connected Living when they are unavailable to attend internal or external stakeholder meetings by attending, taking minutes if required, noting follow up action items, and be responsible for the management of calendar of events.         

  • Facilitate communication and project coordination across different departments, including sales, marketing, product development, and IT teams, to ensure cohesive efforts towards achieving business objectives.

  • Establish a system for regular monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on the progress of goals presenting data to assist the Head of Connected Living in decision-making and adjustments to strategies as necessary.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales and partnership management roles
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient with Salesforce and data analytics tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven approach.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to interact and build relationships to effectively influence across teams and functional partners.
  • Self-motivated to work to complete multiple projects/tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
