Job Summary
Member of the HR team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of payroll for all FSG companies. Provides accurate and timely financial information for semi-monthly payroll cycles. Participates in other HR and Payroll activities as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation and processing of semi-monthly payroll for over 450 employees; Ensures all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Primary liaison for ongoing payroll and timekeeping support for managers and employees.
- Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g. PTO, overtime, leave balances)
- Filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for management
- Handle the administration of the electronic timekeeping system; setup each employee, validate programs for each employee's charges, and adherence to FLSA
- Monitor submissions of approved timesheets, ensure valid data transfers to/from payroll service
- Processes fiscal year-end reports and reconciles W-2 information for accuracy
- Documents any discrepancies in payroll processing to maintain a clear record of reconciliation and adjustments, reports errors in payroll accounting to the CFO and VP of People & Culture
- Managing the new hire onboarding process to include conducting new employee orientations
- Managing employee updates within Paylocity
- Transfers and prepares benefit enrollments and terminations for payroll
- Assist employees with routine questions regarding payroll and time tracking
- Participate in organizing and communicating employee events
- As a member of the HR team, drive employee engagement throughout the organization
- Support other HR team members as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Must have 3-5-years payroll processing experience, prefer some Human Resources experience.
- Experience with multi-state and multi-company payroll processing
- Ideal candidate will have knowledge of Paylocity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee records.
- Demonstrating an understanding of payroll taxes
- Self-starter with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to exercise independent, mature judgment, prioritize tasks & maintain confidentiality required. Proven ability to work in high pressure environment with deadlines.

Compensation Information
The average salary for this position is expected to be between $55,000 and $90,000/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We do not anticipate candidates to be paid at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
