This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 20 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, flexible between 9 AM to 5 PM Northgate, QLD

Job Description

As a Social Media Specialist for this dynamic cricket equipment retailer, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and strategic thinking skills. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing engaging social media campaigns that resonate with cricket enthusiasts and drive brand growth. This role combines graphic design, video editing, and content creation, allowing you to utilize a broad range of skills to capture the essence of the brand and its products. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s online presence and connecting with customers in meaningful ways.

Responsibilities
  • Craft and manage content across various social media platforms, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand voice
  • Design eye-catching graphics and edit compelling videos for social media posts, including attention-grabbing reels
  • Develop and implement data-driven social media strategies aligned with business goals and industry trends
  • Collaborate closely with the team to capture authentic content that showcases products and brand personality
  • Create and maintain a content calendar, ensuring regular and timely posts across all platforms
  • Monitor social media trends and platform updates, adapting strategies to stay ahead of the curve
  • Analyze social media performance metrics and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Proven experience in social media management, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or sports-related industries
  • Proficiency in graphic design software and video editing tools, with a portfolio demonstrating your creative skills
  • Strong understanding of social media best practices and current trends across various platforms
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to inform strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
  • Passion for cricket or sports is a plus, but not required – enthusiasm for learning about the industry is essential
