Land Access Senior Case Manager

Description: The Senior Case Manager will support the successful delivery of the Land Access project. The focus of this role will be on program planning and coordination, and providing technical assistance to project beneficiaries in the southeastern US.  This position will pay particular attention to identifying priorities and developing resources that address the needs of Spanish-speaking farmers. 

Most important position responsibilities

• Land Access Program Planning and Coordination (40%)

• Support for project advisory committee, events, and communications

• Identify RAFI’s existing project resources, written materials, event recordings, etc to identify high priority resources for Spanish translation, and if necessary, connect the list of resources with the Farmers of Color Network on a monthly basis.

• Case Management and Technical Assistance (60%)

• Lead intake, technical assistance, and case management for stateside geographies of land access project; work in concert with PR Farmer Resources Coordinator.

• Support direct service projects associated with Land Access Project, including providing technical assistance to farmers of color in the Southeast, coordinating listening sessions with BIPOC farmers, conducting verification surveys, and identifying resources and trainings that will be high priority for Spanish speakers

Required skills, knowledge, and abilities:

• Demonstrated experience working with Spanish-speaking communities 

• Demonstrated experience in agriculture and/or food systems

• Demonstrated familiarity with human services and/or case management  

• Demonstrated commitment to equity and justice

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired skills, knowledge, and abilities:

• Curiosity, intellectual engagement, and an active interest in continual learning

• Experience working in Salesforce or other CRM

• Self-starter: can take initiative both on projects and work plans, and seek information independently

• Fluency in Spanish and English

• Works well within a team environment

Compensation: Contractor averaging 10 hours/week starting ASAP until April 1, 2025 at $45/hour.  This position has the possibility of becoming a full time role depending on performance and funding. 

Location: Remote, open to applicants based in NC, PR, VA, or MS.
