Major Responsibilities:
Establish the application strategy and manage and prepare applications that are filed with the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC).
Application management extends to both written and oral proceedings and to the preparation of company and expert witnesses.
Proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities that could impact regulatory outcomes.
Prepare regulatory submissions (Transmission, Distribution, Rate of Last Resort, Facility, Debt and other miscellaneous applications) and related analyses for filing with the Alberta Utilities Commission.
Review, collect and analyze business information and provide quality assurance related to financial information filed with the regulator.
Assist with obtaining internal and expert studies needed to support defense of regulatory applications and coordinate the gathering of information from Business Units that maximizes the potential for a successful AUC regulatory decision.
Work with external consultants and legal counsel in the preparation of regulatory filings.
Represent the company at stakeholder meetings.
As required, provide support to ENMAX witnesses before the Alberta Utilities Commission.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders such as the Alberta Utilities Commission, customer interveners, peer utilities, and internal clients.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (e.g., economics, accounting, engineering, finance, law or other related degree). Post-graduate degree is preferred.
Experience with the energy, utility and/or electric industry is preferred (preferably in Alberta).
Accounting, finance, legal, engineering designation or experience is considered an asset.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible relevant experience.
Effective regulatory writing skills by transforming complex data into clear, compelling narratives.
Experience with Power Point to communicate and facilitate decision making by using presentations.
Competencies:
Ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams to successful outcomes.
Strong business acumen with the ability to easily understand and translate business objectives.
Ability to develop relationships and interact with all levels of internal and external organizations.
Resourceful and independent with extensive research, analytic and financial skills.
Maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
