Position Summary
The Associate Director, Salesforce Marketing Cloud is responsible for supporting National University’s marketing lead engagement through the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Salesforce CRM platforms. The Associate Director, Salesforce Marketing Cloud position is responsible for the optimal performance, engagement, and usability of the Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM platform. This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of personalized automated solutions for complex business requirements. This position requires strong product, technical, marketing, data and analytical skills. This position performs hands on Salesforce Marketing Cloud student journeys to engage with prospective and current students. The Associate Director, Salesforce Marketing Cloud works in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams of Enrollment, Enrollment Operations, IT, and Marketing.
Essential Functions:
- Develop the Salesforce Marketing Cloud roadmap to deliver world-class student experiences, and stay up to date on SFMC updates, technology, and changes to maintain roadmap
- Translate business and marketing requirements into well-designed and personalized lead engagement solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM
- Optimizes the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Salesforce CRM platform to effectively engage, nurture, acquire and retain new students
- Create new SFMC omni-channel personalized student journeys to engage with diverse student populations, utilizing the functionality and tools of SFMC
- Design, implement, and optimize SFMC journeys to be mobile responsive
- Design integrations between SFMC and 3rd party APPS to engage with prospective and current students through different communication channels
- Integrate data points from various systems and lead forms into SFMC to develop complex and personalized student journeys to engage with different student populations
- Understand NU complex technology environment, and deliver automated solutions to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the SFMC platform and teams
- Collaborate with SFMC teams to optimize the SFMC platform, and identify opportunities to continuously improve the engagement of the SFMC platform
- Define, measure, report, on KPI’s to measure and improve SFMC performance
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM subject matter expert for organization
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise a Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Marketing Automation team. Supervisor responsibilities include:
- Screens applications, interviews candidates, and makes final determination on individuals for hiring.
- Trains on all aspects of the position.
- Delegates tasks and provides effective direction to team members to produce substantial business results.
- Independently provides weekly, quarterly, and annual performance feedback to include performance evaluations.
- Makes recommendations for salary and merit increases, promotions, and reclassifications.
- Determines corrective action as needed for direct and indirect reports.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, marketing, or relevant field required
- 5-7 years’ experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud in journey builder, automation studio, mobile studio, email studio, personalization studio, and end-to-end SMC implementations
- 5-7 years’ experience involved in hands on SFMC implementations between different systems, and APPS
- 5-7 years’ experience in Salesforce CRM in data integrations and connections, email templates, SMS templates
- 5-7 years' experience in Marketing Automation in SFMC omni-channel journeys, developing engaging customer experiences, developing personalized campaigns, and reporting
- 5-7 years’ experience managing SFMC and Marketing Automation Teams
- 5-7 years' experience collaborating with stakeholders from legal, marketing, IT, customer service, sales to define requirements, deploy campaigns, and provide reporting
- SFMC certification preferred
- Salesforce certification preferred
Competencies/Technical/Functional Skills:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the SFMC platform and teams
- Develop and implement end-to-end SFMC implementations, journey and campaign setup, SFMC administration, data hygiene and integration, and maintenance of the SFMC platform
- Optimize the SFMC journeys to increase student engagement and conversions
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues of the SFMC platform in a timely manner
- Design, build, execute SFMC Omni-channel journeys utilizing email, SMS, personalization studio, cloud pages
- Develop SFMC journeys with complex segmentation, dynamic email content, an automation
- Proactively implement system and process improvements to improve functionality of SFMC platform
- Maintain and optimize SFMC data model including; contact builder, data extensions, segmentation, SQL queries
- Provide KPI’s and actionable insights to improve SFMC performance
- Expert proficiency in HTMl, SQL, CSS, Java, GA Analytics
Travel: Travel an estimated 30%.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position. The minimum salary will be offered based on the minimum exemption threshold based on state of residency. Compensation Range:
Annual Salary: $71,360.00 - $96,340.00
