Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect with expertise in Databricks to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, data-driven solutions leveraging the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. You will work closely with stakeholders across engineering, analytics, and business teams to drive innovation and optimize data workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Design: Architect scalable and efficient solutions using the Databricks platform for data engineering, machine learning, and analytics workflows.
  • Platform Implementation: Lead the deployment and integration of Databricks with existing data ecosystems, ensuring seamless data processing and storage.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on technical guidance in Spark, Python, SQL, and other Databricks-supported technologies.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize Databricks jobs, clusters, and data pipelines to ensure performance and cost efficiency.
  • Governance & Security: Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within the Databricks ecosystem.
  • Training & Enablement: Educate internal teams on leveraging Databricks features effectively.

Education

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, Software Engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or analytics roles.
  • Expertise with the Databricks platform, including cluster management, Delta Lake, and MLFlow.
  • Proficiency in Spark, Python, SQL, and ETL frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their integration with Databricks.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, big data processing, and real-time analytics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data platforms.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Databricks Data Engineer Associate Certification or Databricks Data Engineer Professional Certification strong preferred.
