The Chief Financial Officer will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
- Works with other department leaders to monitor each department and make recommendations.
- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder/investor reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
- Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
- Reviews the planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
- Works with the CEO, COO, and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
- Oversees all audit and internal control operations.
- Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.
- Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
- Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.
- Mentor and develop members of the finance department.
- Ability to coach hiring managers on interview skills and process
- Supports Swing Education’s effort to comply with confidentiality and security requirements
- Establishes and maintains effective working relations with other departments
- Participates in orientation of new employees
- Follows Standards for Service Excellence for Swing Education
- Attends and actively participates in staff meetings
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8 to 10 years of experience in financial management required
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles and laws.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Advanced Excel level proficiency and use of accounting information systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial style, eager to take initiative in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships and evaluate candidates.
- Outstanding time management skills, with proven ability to multitask, accomplishing numerous tasks and changing priorities in an effective and timely manner
- Proven ability to think analytically to solve complex problems
- Sound judgment, solid decision making skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Familiarity with relevant state and federal law to ensure all company activity is done in accordance with laws and regulations

Salary is commensurate on experience and is adjusted for cost of living standards dependent on position location. COMPENSATION:: $308,750 USD - $325,000 USD
