What You'll Do...
We are seeking a strategic and experienced professional to develop and implement effective negotiation strategies, source products and services, and mentor team members. This role involves collaborating with business owners, leading complex negotiations, and driving continuous process improvements to support our business objectives.
Day to day, you'll..
- Provides leadership and direction for category management
- Apply deep and comprehensive understanding of centralized sourcing and category management theories, practices, and systems as well as the changing business environment
- Demonstrate an understanding of Sourcing and Procurement leading practices
- Lead and Participate in client meetings /strategy sessions
- Develops and executes strategy to achieve key business objectives
- Create and maintain supplier performance metrics
- Perform complex tasks with wide latitude for determining appropriate processes, requiring limited guidance or instruction
- Identify risks and opportunities to clients/stakeholders and recommend strategies to achieve company goals while mitigating risk
- Negotiate complex MSAs
- Lead complex RFPs - those with implementations of greater than 1 year, complex dependencies or integrations, significant business change, etc.
- Prepare and monitor the sourcing pipeline by business unit vertical. Review on a quarterly basis the pipeline and status with the business owner and leadership team
- Manage and monitor the contract lifecycle via sourcing tools and processes
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced associates
What You'll Bring To The Team...
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
- 6 years Minimum related work experience
- Proven category management skills across several categories of spend.
- Experience with improving processes.
- Prior experience in effectively handling multiple projects/demands.
- Understanding of and ability to achieve win/win solutions.
- Strong project management and process improvement skills.
- Ability to concentrate and work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify and lead to resolve complex contractual principles
- Ability to develop and communicate strategic plans by engagement, vendor and/or commodity across the Enterprise
It would be even better if you also had...
- At least one sourcing or contracts industry recognized certification.
Pay Range Information
The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed.
Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
