What You’ll Do
As a Financial Analyst at Teradata, you will play a key role in supporting our Global Business Finance team by providing in-depth financial analysis and insights. Your responsibilities will span monthly and quarterly financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and other financial planning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and present financial data for business reviews, planning, reporting, and forecasting.
- Prepare and analyze financial forecasts and operating results.
- Maintain detailed budgets and expense line items.
- Summarize and present monthly results for business reviews.
- Monitor spending trends to support accurate monthly forecasting.
- Communicate findings and insights across various teams.
- Track and manage spending requests against approved budgets.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions.
- Assist business owners in evaluating strategic initiatives and justifying expenditures.
- Conduct detailed spending reviews at the general ledger level.
- Collaborate with the Cloud Operations Team to provide actionable financial insights.
- Review forecasts against actual results, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Perform gap analyses and consolidate findings.
- Deliver timely, relevant, and actionable financial and operational reporting to management.
Who You’ll Work With
You will collaborate closely with the Corporate FP&A team, supporting key stakeholders and contributing to strategic direction and process improvements.
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in finance or related fields, including cross-functional projects.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience is preferred, with knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
- Familiarity with month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Knowledge of enterprise-level financial management tools such as EPB, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Experience with automation and process improvement initiatives.
