Job Title: Land and Title Analyst

Location: Remote (CST Time Zone)

Salary Range: Up to $1,800 USD

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST

Job Description:

Sagan is seeking an experienced Land and Title Analyst to support our project management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a background in property law or a related field, with expertise in comprehensive title research, ownership calculations, and lease management. This role requires working both collaboratively and independently, conducting detailed surface, mineral, and leasehold title research while delivering high-quality reports for clients. The position demands a detail-oriented individual who can effectively adapt to changing timelines and priorities to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Research county records to determine surface and mineral ownership using online databases and local county courthouse resources.
  • Analyze and document research findings, selecting relevant information for client reports.
  • Meet specific deadlinesboth daily and weeklyto accommodate internal and client needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to address evolving business requirements.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in title or mineral research, or a related property law field involving land rights.
  • Familiarity with property rights and ownership research, ideally within regions involving energy projects or other resource-based industries.
  • Advanced degree in Law (Juris Doctorate or equivalent) or a degree in Energy Management is preferred if paired with relevant job experience in title or mineral research.
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines effectively, ensuring both internal and client deliverables are met.
  • Capacity to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong professional communication skills (written and verbal) for interacting with various levels of management and clients.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets, as well as Adobe Acrobat, for documentation and reporting.
