At Pearl, we equip states, districts, educational institutions, and tutoring companies with cutting-edge tools and services necessary for boosting student outcomes. Imagine being part of a groundbreaking startup that is revolutionizing the way tutoring is implemented across the nation—where your work directly contributes to shaping the educational landscape and enhancing student outcomes.

The Role

We are looking to expand our dynamic team. As our new Account Executive, you'll be pivotal in driving our growth within the K-12 market across the United States.

Your Mission: Forge new paths in Virginia, Maryland, D.C., and North Carolina. You'll make Pearl's Tutoring Management System the go-to solution for building successful tutoring programs. By building genuine relationships, understanding district needs, and presenting tailored solutions, you'll empower educators, streamline tutoring processes, and dramatically enhance student outcomes nationwide.

What You’ll Do
  • Prospecting: Build a pipeline by proactively identifying and engaging potential K-12 school districts in the Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and North Carolina market space.
  • Education Ambassador: Understand the needs and challenges of diverse markets, positioning our platform as the leading solution for tutoring management and data aggregation.
  • Account Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Market Analysis: Keep a pulse on the market to strategically pivot and seize opportunities.
  • Networking: Boost our brand at industry events and create strategic partnerships.
  • Sales Forecasting: Leverage Salesforce for tracking and forecasting new opportunities.
  • Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations to ensure profitable and sustainable agreements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, customer success, and product teams to align strategies and feedback from the field.
  • Goals: Meet and exceed annual sales goals.
Who You Are
  • A driven hunter and a startup star!
  • Fueled by a proactive spirit and excited to unlock new opportunities.
  • A passionate advocate for education and student success.
  • A creative and strategic thinker eager to contribute to our close-knit team.
  • Meticulous, self-directed, and excited to affect change.
  • Excited by startup culture and the many hats we get to wear.
Experience
  • 5+ years in EdTech sales, with a solid track record and network.
  • Skilled in selling complex solutions and understanding the EdTech landscape.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Data-driven and customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficient with Salesforce, Google Workspace, and Canva.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and able to travel as needed.
  • Extra Credit: If you’ve been a Sales Development Representative!
How We Roll
  • Collaboratively: Interdepartmental teamwork is our backbone.
  • Agilely: Quick on our feet, we adapt swiftly to new opportunities.
  • Accountably: We’re committed to transparency and achieving our goals.
  • Respectfully: We cherish diversity and foster an inclusive workplace.
  • Proudly: We are people-first. We invest in ourselves by applying our own strengths and interests to company needs.
Perks
  • Competitive salary with uncapped commission and potential equity.
  • Uncapped (and encouraged) PTO, plus 11 annual holidays.
  • Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
  • Short-term disability insurance at no cost to you.
  • A friendly, inclusive, flexible, and energetic work environment.
  • Fantastic remote work culture.
