Summary Description

Zing Health is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded individual to join our team as the Lead for Data Operations and Data Governance. In this critical role, you will lead and oversee the operational aspects of our data management processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data operations, a keen eye for detail, and exceptional leadership skills. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on enabling and maintaining practices that are aligned with data governance as well as running the daily data operations. This role reports to the Vice President for Information Technology, Data.

Essential Functions

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the data governance and operations teams, ensuring the effective execution of data-related processes.
• Develop and implement efficient data management processes, optimizing workflows to enhance data accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
• Establish standards and controls, and address data issues on a day-to-day basis. Implement and enforce data quality standards, validation checks, and error-handling procedures to maintain high standards of data accuracy and integrity.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Leverage data management tools and technologies to enhance operational capabilities, staying current with industry best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the data operations team, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and implementing best practices.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of data professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
  
  

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Over 12 years of experience in Information Technology, Prefer prior experience within healthcare payer domain, with exposure to areas of Provider, Member, Claims, and Medical Management. Prior Medicare experience would be a plus.
• Prefer 4+ years of managerial experience, demonstrating effective people management skills.
• Knowledge of Daily Operations management activities, with prior experience in establishing and running Data Operations overseeing monitoring, and addressing operations issues with internal areas and external vendors.
• In-depth knowledge of industry best practices in Data Governance and prior experience in enabling and managing these for an organization.
• Prior experience in managing integration operations with external vendors.
• Required prior experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Microsoft's SQL Server, and Data Mastering platforms. Past Developer and Database Administrator (DBA) experience is a plus.
• Past mentoring of Data teams in best practices, standards, key problematic issues like complex query development and performance optimization
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams and with Executive stakeholders.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management and multi-tasking skills.
