About the Role:

We have just started the search for the Philippines' best Financial Accounting professional to assist one of our Australian based clients. Under the direction of the Financial Controller, the Finance Support/Accountant is responsible for processing financial and accounting transactions, analyzing and reconciling documents such as bank statements, expense claims, credit card statements, and others, and performing some administrative tasks per the business unit's needs.

What you would be doing:

You will be involved in some, if not all, of the following tasks:

  • Administer and monitor financial systems to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions
  •  Assist in preparing monthly reports.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
  •  Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payments.
  • Assist in debtor management
  • Collaborate with team members and provide assistance in resolving financial inquiries.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures.

Requirements

What skills you do need to have:

To be successful, we are looking for someone with many of the following skills and experience:

  • At least 3 to 5 years previous experience working in a similar role
  • High level of financial accounting and analytical skills, with Australian experience a must
  • Proficiency in accounting and project management software (Xero, Monday.com, Abtrac, Tableau) and intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong personality with the confidence and ability to speak out
  • Positive, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Great spoken and written English skills, and interpersonal skills for collaboration within teams.
  • Ethical, reliable, and dedicated to maintaining high professional standards
  • Willing to work on AU shift and work on a hybrid set-up

You will have a real advantage winning this role if you have any of the following:

  • Solid experience working within an Australian business or providing accounting services to Australian companies
