About the Role
TPG seeks an experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Regional Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Team. The Administrative Assistant supports the administrative functions necessary to provide TTA services to Head Start programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support for TTA contract activities and deliverables as directed by the Regional TTA Coordinator and the Office of Head Start (OHS) Regional Office.
- Conduct event planning for regional TTA meetings and events, including the provision of virtual TTA.
- Perform general clerical duties such as data entry and recordkeeping.
- Aggregate and prepare data from existing government systems to inform and report on TTA activities.
- Support the Regional TTA Coordinator in preparing and submitting accurate and timely monthly and quarterly reports and travel plans. Ensure that the Head Start Enterprise System and other records are up to date.
- Support the TTA Coordinator in completing the annual regional Office of Head Start Professional Development Plan process.
- Incorporate other tasks specific to the support of the TTA Coordinator’s work or as requested by the Contracting Office Representatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of a two-year college degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- 1 year of experience aggregating data and producing reports based on multiple data sources.
- 1 year of experience communicating, both orally and in writing to various audiences.
- 1 year of experience organizing and performing multiple tasks at the same time.
- 1 year of experience providing administrative support to project and/or contract management team and staff who work remotely.
- 1 year of experience with event coordination and planning.
- Ability to type 45 wpm.
Preferred Experience:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards and Head Start Act.
Professional Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
- Experience using virtual platforms and technologies, i.e., Adobe, Teams, etc.
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, outside clients and vendors.
Conditions of Employment:
- Complete a Drug Test.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to obtain a Tier 2, Non-sensitive Public Trust (Moderate Risk) Clearance.
- Available to travel as necessary.
- A valid US Driver’s license.
Security Clearance/Background Check Requirements:
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Residency requirement - 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years.
- Internal background check to the satisfaction of contract requirements.
The Work Environment:
- This is a remote opportunity where occasional travel will be required, as needed. Since this is a remote role, must have a dedicated workspace conducive to full videoconferencing (camera and audio) for facilitating webinars and online discussions.

Work Schedule
- This is a full-time position that typically works business hours Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending on needs and may at times include travel, evenings, or weekends to meet specific project requirements.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to walk sites and attend meetings with other stakeholders and employees.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 10% of the time.
- Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 10% of the time.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type, and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
- Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods.
