THE ROLE

As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at Thrive Market, you hold a key position in providing essential HR support to our HQ departments across the US in our remote-first environment. We are seeking an HRBP who is dynamic and versatile as they will support our “Thrivers” (the name we use for our employees)  with several key initiatives to include, but not limited to, onboarding/off-boarding, performance management, talent planning, compliance and training and development. This role offers a unique opportunity for an individual wanting to blend both tactical and strategic responsibilities and to work closely with their client groups to drive organizational success. As a fast growing company, we need a proactive and adaptable HRBP who thrives in a growing and fast-paced environment able to balance immediate needs with long-term goals of the business. LA based preferred or remote willing to travel up to 20% of time for in-person events (primarily located in the LA area) to support with potential to travel to our Fulfillment Center locations as business needs arise.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement talent management strategies to align with company OKRs
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on goal setting, feedback, performance management, team engagement and team development strategies
  • Manage and oversee the feedback process, including pulse surveys, 360 feedback and exit interviews to maintain a clear understanding of your respective client groups engagement and sentiment
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws through periodic audits. You will oversee and manage compliance that is centralized at the HQ level
  • Partner with legal and other departments to mitigate risks related to employee relations matters, workplace safety, and labor laws
  • Support the performance review and compensation review processes for HQ departments, ensuring consistency and alignment with Company goals
  • Oversee leave of absence processes for respective client groups and support Thrivers with all steps associated with leaves of absence through return to work status
  • Maintain HRIS records, employee roster, and compile necessary reports for stakeholders upon request
  • Engage in employee events, volunteering, and cultural activities to promote employee engagement
  • Propose new approaches, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency of HR services and processes. Ensure SOP creation for existing and new processes in development
  • Handle all HR inquiries for your respective client groups that range from employment verification to benefit inquiries/ Partner with the benefit team to ensure clear understanding of our benefit offerings
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by leading and partnering with senior leaders on training sessions addressing skills gap, leadership development and employee growth program
  • Collaborate with management to foster a positive work environment that values diverse talents and abilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree +
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong understanding of basic practices and principles
  • Experience in fast growing, fast moving, mid-sized companies preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities, meet deadlines, adapt to a continuous improvement environment
  • Ability to navigate in ambiguity and exercise good judgment in stressful situations
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with senior leaders, managers and Thrivers at all levels
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, HRIS, and payroll systems
