The Role:

The Vice President of Strategy and Product Operations is a key leadership role in our brain health and digital cognitive assessment company. You will drive strategic initiatives, product alignment, and market positioning to address critical needs in brain health and cognitive care. As the right hand to the Chief Product and Strategy Officer, the VP leverages deep expertise in healthcare, cognitive assessment and care, and operational strategy to align the company’s mission with scalable growth and innovative product development.

This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, scientific understanding, and operational execution. Key areas include resource allocation, cross-functional leadership, regulatory compliance, and navigating the unique reimbursement landscape for cognitive assessment, cognitive care and disease management.

What You'll Do:

Market and Strategy Development:
  • Analyze Market Needs:
    • Identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in cognitive assessment, cognitive care, disease management, and related therapies.
    • Assess alignment between emerging market needs and reimbursement frameworks, emphasizing payer models in primary care, neurology and team-based care
  • Develop Strategic Plans
    • Craft comprehensive strategy documents focused on product roadmaps, market positioning, and scaling opportunities in assessment, care delivery, and therapeutics.
    • Drive alignment across the organization by creating actionable, evidence-based strategies.
  • Financial Forecasting:
    • Forecast market growth and evolution, focusing on reimbursement trends for cognitive assessment tools, cognitive care delivery, and disease-specific interventions.
    • Provide insights into long-term financial models for cognitive health and neurological pathways.

Resource Allocation and Oversight:

  • Manage Resources:
    • Oversee resource allocation across assessment tools, digital platforms, and cognitive disease solutions to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
    • Optimize budgets and investments in R&D, clinical trials, and commercial deployment.
Product Leadership and Coordination:
  • Guide Product Teams:
    • Sit in on product development meetings to align innovations in cognitive diagnostics with market needs and regulatory requirements.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to product leaders, helping refine cognitive assessment tools, cognitive care delivery, and disease-specific interventions.
  • Ensure Collaboration:
    • Drive coordination across assessments, therapeutics, and digital platforms, ensuring a cohesive approach to addressing cognitive health challenges.
    • Monitor cross-functional projects, identifying and resolving gaps in coordination between teams.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
  • Monitor and Report Progress:
    • Implement systems to track KPIs related to diagnostic accuracy, patient outcomes, and market penetration.
    • Report on progress of strategic initiatives to the executive team, leveraging insights to refine approaches.
Regulatory and Compliance Expertise:
  • Navigate Regulatory Pathways:
    • Maintain familiarity with global regulatory bodies (e.g., FDA, EMA) and compliance standards for cognitive diagnostics, decision support, and digital health tools.
    • Understand the boundaries between wellness tools, clinical diagnostics, and software classified as a medical device.
Change Management and Innovation:
  • Ethical Leadership:
    • Uphold a commitment to integrity and patient welfare in decision-making, particularly for vulnerable populations affected by cognitive decline or neurological disorders.
  • Lead Innovation Efforts:
    • Introduce cutting-edge technologies and practices in assessment and disease management, such as AI/ML, remote monitoring, and precision medicine approaches.
    • Lead organizational changes with clear communication, comprehensive training programs, and stakeholder alignment.
Stakeholder Communication:
  • Internal Communication:
    • Represent strategic initiatives in executive discussions, providing updates on market trends, risks, and opportunities in cognitive health.
  • External Communication:
    • Present the company’s vision and product roadmap to industry leaders, partners, and investors at conferences, advisory boards, and strategic meetings.
Risk Management:
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks:
    • Evaluate risks specific to cognitive assessments, including regulatory challenges, reimbursement, provider adoption hurdles, payer engagement, and clinical validation.
    • Implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth development and commercialization of products.
