Job description

ECS is seeking a communicative and enthusiastic Project Manager to join our team based remotely. As a Project Manager, you will be required to interface with customers, manage other team members, and ensure successful solution delivery. This will be in support of a Human Capital strategic initiative to optimize a Human Resources Information Technology (HRIT) system with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Primary Duties

  • Establish and manage working groups and other interagency knowledge sharing initiatives (i.e., create agendas/materials, book speakers, and facilitate meetings)
  • Lead quantitative and qualitative data gathering and analysis initiatives
    • Develop data collection and analysis methodologies and timelines
    • Facilitate focus groups and interviews
    • Develop and release surveys using Microsoft Forms
    • Aggregate and analyze data to create findings and actionable recommendations for executive leadership


  • Prepare briefing materials for executive leadership on a recurring basis
  • Manage communications with the customer
    • Manage client interaction and expectations regarding efforts
    • Work closely with the client team daily
    • Establish and enhance relationships with direct and peripheral stakeholders
    • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, develop and deepen long-lasting client relationships
  • Ensure successful solution delivery
    • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of project and scope
    • Maintain responsibility for the delivery of work products
    • Oversee implementation of standardized processes and deliverables
    • Build a knowledge base of client's business, systems, and objectives
    • Support data calls and related reporting requests from DHS leadership and other stakeholders


  • Manage project and contract administration, with timeliness and accuracy
    • Establish and monitor schedules and identify resource needs
    • Identify, analyze, and track risks, communicating statuses, and escalating concerns when needed
    • Oversee all project knowledge management activities
    • Ensure compliance with all contractual reporting requirements (i.e., regular status and progress reports)
    • Perform administrative tasks, such as, approving timesheets and creating contract deliverables
Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000
