Under the direction of the General Education Department Chair, the adjunct Instructor of Psychology will provide online instruction for Psychology courses in the General Education curriculum (Introduction to Psychology, Human Growth & Development, and Abnormal Psychology). Instructors facilitate the online course, engage in online discussions, provide robust grading feedback, support students toward successful course completion, communicate with the faculty lead on subject matter, and evaluate student's progress.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop instructional materials to facilitate student learning outcomes for the course.
2. Collect all assessment data related to student learning outcomes.
3. Effectively use the Canvas LMS to ensure meaningful learning activities occur throughout the quarter.
4. Maintain an equitable system of student evaluation based on sound practices in accordance with the course syllabus.
5. Return all graded assignments in a reasonable time frame according to South College Faculty Expectations.
6. Project an appropriate professional image.
7. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
8. Enforce all South College rules and policies.
9. Complete and submit all attendance rosters and grade forms before the established due dates.
