POSITION SUMMARY

The VP of Health Systems is responsible for helping the company to achieve financial goals and objectives and increase operating performance. Prepares budgets, creates businesses plans, and solves internal issues as they arise.  This position is responsible for providing direction and leadership to the positions reporting directly to them, and for setting overall sales direction for the health systems sales organization.  The VP of Health Systems will also be responsible for managing and maintaining strategic customer relationships and will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales with those strategic customers.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge: 

  • Knowledge of the Medical Industry, specifically Anesthesia and Respiratory.  
  • Experience selling directly to the end user (anesthesiologist and/or respiratory therapist) desired.

Skills & Abilities:  

  • Provide direction, leadership, and motivation for entire sales organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the Corporation, Hospital, including end user, executive and c-suite
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close at all levels
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitors
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Level of Experience:  

  • 15 + years of sales and sales management, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Excellent Public speaking and presentation skills are essential.

Level of Education:  

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

Travel: 

  • Travel schedule dictated by customer need. 
  • Likely to exceed 50%


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate company strategy to company ownership and board.
  • Oversee revenue generation.
  • Identify ways to maximize revenue.
  • Analyze financial and sales reports.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by sales department.
  • Attract, retain, and motivate staff.
  • Identify and lead new business opportunities, and ability to pursue and close that business
  • Ensure highly productive relationships and partnerships for the benefit of the organization.
  • Sets goal, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization.
