POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) Administrator to join our Commercial Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the company’s relationships with GPOs, ensuring effective administration of customer contracts, accurate data management, and adherence to contractual terms. You will also identify and implement process improvements to optimize how GPO contracts and relationships are maintained.

Key responsibilities include coordinating comprehensive reporting for GPO partners in collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Customer Care, Supply Chain) and maintaining robust contract data for the Contract Management team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the sales organization by fostering strong partnerships with GPOs and ensuring seamless contract operations.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

The specific minimum competencies needed to perform the essential duties of the job include knowledge, skills, abilities, level of education, and experience necessary for successful performance.   These competencies are generally demonstrated through specific service, education, or training.

Skills & Abilities:  

  • Strong customer service, problem solving and analytical skills required.
  • Advance level of proficiency in Excel (data management) and MS Office Suite.
  • Well versed in ERP systems, SAP an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments on an ongoing basis.
  • Previous experience in the health care industry is an asset.

Level of Experience:  

  • 1-2 years of sales or marketing coordination experience.

Level of Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business or related field preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all inbound Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) requests, ensuring prompt and accurate responses in alignment with service-level agreements.
  • Coordinate and manage internal timelines by collaborating with key stakeholders to meet contractual and operational deadlines.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools (e.g., ERP systems, Salesforce, Excel) to extract, analyze, and present data that informs GPO contract decisions such as extensions, price adjustments, product or member additions, and resolution of pricing discrepancies.
  • Evaluate GPO and member relationships to analyze contract spend, performance metrics, and alignment with GPO awards, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Administer GPO contract amendments, ensuring the accuracy of data, securing proper authorizations, and maintaining compliance with established processes.
  • Liaise with Marketing product managers to clarify clinical and technical product details, ensuring accuracy and consistency in GPO contracts and amendments.
  • Monitor GPO contract portals for updates, including recalls, supply disruptions, and other product supply considerations, and communicate changes to relevant teams.
  • Maintain and update internal systems and records with accurate and complete data for all GPO contracts, amendments, and related documentation.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives, including system upgrades, process improvements, and the implementation of new technologies or workflows, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
