We are looking for a Claims Advisor that embodies our values of creating positive outcomes with a passion and persistence for delivering an exceptional customer experience with each interaction. You will be responsible for managing and advocating for our clients throughout their claims, working with both clients, adjusters and vendors.
Reporting to the Practice Leader of Claims & Compliance, you will be able to utilize your claims experience to make sure our clients are provided with the best service possible during their claims.
Responsibilities:
Support and advise clients when they report a claim.
Provide empathy and insurance expertise when working with clients who have suffered a loss.
Manage and maintain open claims.
Serve as a liaison with third-party vendors and follow up on any non-resolved abeyances.
Assist with the administration and maintenance of the claims document management system.
Support creation, revision, and review of controlled documents such as process flows, job aids, guides and lesson plans related to the claims process.
Advocate for the client during the claims process, escalating when necessary.
A proactive approach to problems and issues, working ahead of potential challenges.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Valid provincial broker’s license is preferred.
2+ years of commercial lines insurance experience.
2+ years of claims experience.
Ability to provide empathy and sensitivity during difficult conversations.
Able to communicate with clients in a clear manner.
Attention to detail and demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple clients at a time.
CRM, CAIB or CIP designations an asset.
