We are seeking a Mid to Mid+ Reporting Analyst with a strong background in Power BI development to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating, maintaining, and optimizing advanced dashboards and reports to meet business and operational requirements.

 

Position Title: Mid to Mid+ Reporting Analyst

 

Location: Remote - Colombia

 

What you will be doing:

 

As a Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for developing advanced dashboards and reports to meet business requirements while supporting data-driven decision-making processes. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and leverage a variety of tools and platforms to design, manage, and optimize scalable reporting solutions. This position demands both technical and analytical expertise, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
  • Implement complex DAX calculations and data modeling to optimize performance and insights.
  • Ensure high performance and fast rendering for reports by managing datasets and models efficiently.
  • Work closely with business users and decision-makers to identify reporting needs and translate them into actionable dashboards and reports.
  • Collaborate across teams to define KPIs, metrics, and business goals for reporting initiatives.
  • Extract, transform, and load data from relational and legacy systems, including Aveva PI System and PI Integrator, into Power BI.
  • Establish efficient ETL pipelines to ensure consistent and accurate data availability.
  • Continuously improve and optimize existing reports for scalability and usability.
  • Ensure data accuracy and implement processes for data validation and consistency.
  • Address complex reporting challenges by designing custom solutions.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for reports and data analysis.

 

Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • 2–4 years of experience in reporting and data visualization.
  • Experience working with large datasets and optimizing for performance.
  • Familiarity with industrial or operational data analytics.
  • Proven expertise in Power BI development, including advanced DAX, data modeling, and visualization.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and ETL processes.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Aveva PI System, PI AF, and PI Integrator (preferred).
  • Familiarity with industrial or operational data analytics is a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
