Job description

 

For our Logistics department in Venlo we are currently looking for a:  

Logistics Manager (1 FTE) 

 

You are responsible for managing our logistics department. 

You will manage 7 direct reports, 3 operations supervisors and 4 supply chain support employees, and  indirectly you are responsible for approximately 40-70 logistics operators, depending on seasonality.  You will lead logistics and ensure all KPI’s are met in our complex, mass customization manufacturing  facility. 

You are directly responsible and accountable for meeting KPI’s on: Safety, Quality, Delivery,  Productivity, Cost and Motivation of our employees. We have a strong focus on continuous  improvement and the main challenge for the logistics manager is to lead and inspire the teams to  perform at peak level consistently and continuously. 

 

Your role will also involve the following

• Set-up logistics activities and staffing of inbound, warehousing (internal & 3PL), cycle counting,  replenishment and outbound sorting.  

• Secure optimal utilization of the ERP software, SAP S4 Hana with EWM module, supporting the  forecast driven and demand driven supply chain. 

• Identify enhancements to further optimize the ERP software and logistics processes, in order to  manage the strongly increasing number of SKU’s. 

• Creating an atmosphere in which people work together enthusiastically and co-operatively to  achieve outstanding results; coaching, growing, and developing the skilled logistics team 

• Focus on safety, quality, delivery, efficiency; meeting the agreed KPI’s are the guiding principle in  this respect.  

• Analyze and evaluate reports. Discuss the results and the actions to be undertaken with the  Supervisors. 

• Having performance appraisal and evaluation interviews with Supervisors. 

• Based on guidelines, set up by Director and Finance, responsible for drawing up and realizing of  the annual department budget. Reviewing the budget on monthly bases with the necessary  actions. 

• To achieve business objectives, intensive and strong collaboration is required with cross functional  departments both within Vista Venlo internally as well as with the global Vista/Cimpress  organization and external suppliers.

• Preferably experience in a manufacturing supply chain environment with knowledge in developing  and executing logistics solutions

• Highly results oriented and delivery focused, a continuous improvement mind-set. • Strong collaborator who can create alignment across teams and functions. • Initiative to grow and develop the logistics department. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Fluent in spoken and written English.  

• Living or willing to relocate to a travelling distance to Venlo.
