Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time WordPress Content and SEO Assistant to join our team. This role will be pivotal in supporting our client operations by taking on task-level responsibilities, ensuring seamless execution of content and SEO processes, and enhancing the performance of client websites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WordPress, basic SEO, and digital marketing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Operations:

    • Post and format new content (blog posts, pages) across client websites.
    • Optimize on-page SEO elements, including meta tags, headers, and alt text.
    • Run keyword research and reporting using tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush.
    • Track backlinks and prepare analysis reports.
    • Manage content calendars and collaborate with the SEO Strategy Manager.

  • WordPress Management:

    • Handle client site updates, including content, images, and basic layout changes.
    • Perform routine plugin updates and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
    • Identify opportunities to improve website UX or integrate additional features, such as Google Reviews.

  • Google My Business (GMB):

    • Set up, verify, and optimize GMB profiles for clients.
    • Monitor and respond to client reviews to maintain a positive online presence.
    • Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across directories.

  • Analytics and Reporting:

    • Compile data from tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
    • Create monthly performance reports for clients, highlighting key metrics.
    • Monitor SEO performance trends and flag significant changes to the team.

  • Operational Support:

    • Manage task workflows using project management tools (e.g., ClickUp).
    • Assist with recurring SEO audits and ongoing optimization efforts.
    • Document processes to ensure efficiency and repeatability.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with WordPress (content updates, basic troubleshooting).
  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar.
  • Understanding of basic SEO principles (on-page, keyword research, backlinks).
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Experience managing Google My Business profiles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bonus: Experience in UX or website optimization.
