Job description

Role: Business Analyst
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Work Hours: US Time
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in LATAM countries)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our client's dynamic E-Commerce team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that business needs and objectives are clearly understood and documented. This position is essential for the successful delivery of our on-board applications and customer-facing apps, contributing to the overall growth and efficiency of our organization.

Responsibilities:

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements. This includes conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys to ensure a comprehensive understanding of business needs.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and the development team. Facilitate discussions to clarify requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Process Modeling: Create visual representations of business processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with project goals. Utilize tools and methodologies to document workflows and system interactions.
  • User Story Creation: Develop clear and concise user stories that capture functional and non-functional requirements. Ensure that user stories are prioritized and ready for the development team to implement.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions. Collaborate with the technical team to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Use findings to inform product development and strategic planning.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Scrum Master, Technical Lead, and QA Lead to ensure that project goals are met. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to continuously improve processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, processes, and project progress. Ensure that all documentation is accessible and up-to-date for team members and stakeholders.
  • Support Testing: Assist the QA team in developing test cases and validating that the delivered solutions meet business requirements.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following skills:

Must-Have Skills:

  • Requirements Gathering: Proven experience in eliciting and documenting business requirements. Ability to translate complex business needs into clear and actionable requirements for the development team.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in managing stakeholder expectations and facilitating discussions.
  • Process Modeling: Proficiency in creating process models using tools such as BPMN or UML. Ability to analyze and improve existing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • User Story Creation: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in writing user stories that capture user needs and acceptance criteria.
  • Data Analysis: Experience in analyzing data sets to derive insights and support decision-making. Knowledge of data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Market Research: Understanding of market research methodologies and experience in conducting competitive analysis to inform product strategy.
