The Senior Full Stack Engineering will be responsible for helping build up our future frontend, microservices, and cloud foundations to scale out for the rest of the organisation.

The role will focus on providing technical expertise, steering the technology capability, and implementing industry standards and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis, Design and Building Zurich’s future frontend, microservices, and cloud foundations
Continuous improvement and excellence; mentoring, developing an engineering-first mindset
Continuous improvement and excellence; developing, delivering, and evaluating new digital technologies aligning to architecture and business strategy

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years technology experience.
Excellent understanding of basic web technologies – CSS, HTML5, JavaScript
Strong experience designing and building responsive user experience with modern JS frameworks like ReactJS (and may be NextJS). Plus, modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind, CSS modules.
Experience with building design systems.
Experience in multiple backend high level languages like Java, Kotlin, Python or JavaScript
Experience designing and building decoupled BFF and Domain APIs with frameworks like NodeJS, Spring Boot.
Experience with databases e.g. Relational and non-relational.
Experience in writing high quality well tested code.
Familiarity with TDD, BDD and Design Patterns
Experience in DevOps and CI/CD tools and techniques.
Experience in building secure scalable distributed services.
Ability to mentor and provide guidance to more junior team members.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies as needed.
Passionate and integrated in industry technology trends.
