Job description

The Arbitrum Foundation is an organisation based in the Cayman Islands that is tasked with developing and nurturing the Arbitrum ecosystem. This includes Arbitrum One, an Optimistic Rollup, that instantly scales apps, reducing costs and increasing capacity, without sacrificing Ethereum's security and Arbitrum Nova, which allows for ultra-low cost fees by leveraging AnyTrust technology making it ideal for Social and Gaming applications.

Responsibilities
  • Managing accounts payable, including invoice processing and vendor communication.
  • Addressing payment discrepancies (e.g., duplicate invoices).
  • Ensuring all payable activity is accurately captured in financial reporting.
  • Reviewing risks related to payables and reconciliation processes.
  • Conducting root cause analyses for operational errors (e.g., double payments).
  • Enhancing internal process and systems controls.
  • Assessing controls of external partners (e.g., Autonomous)
  • Developing and maintaining financial tools (e.g., Request Finance, Cryptio).
  • Streamlining workflows for invoice submission and approval.
  • Liaising with external providers (e.g., Autonomous) for process improvements.
  • Working with financial systems providers (e.g., Request Finance, Cryptio) to implement features to streamline processes and strengthen controls
  • OTC Trades month-end reconciliations.
  • New wallet address monitoring and inclusion in financial systems
  • Assisting with treasury reconciliation and recording movements in Cryptio.
  • Collaborating with Marketing, Grants and Ambassadors to streamline payables process flows
  • Managing process for Orbit chain financial reporting & supporting compliance checks for associated wallets.

  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Work experience in finance operations, accounts payable or equivalent
  • Familiarity with internal controls and risk management
  • Proficiency in accounting related software 
  • Experience with crypto-specific financial tools (e.g., Request Finance, Cryptio)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis
  • Knowledge of cryptocurrency wallets and blockchain technology
  • Experience in streamlining workflows and implementing system enhancements
  • Ability to develop and maintain financial tool
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong relationship-building skills with vendors and cross-functional teams
