The Senior Director, Global Alliance Management Neurodegenerative (NDD) for Diagnostics will play a vital role in supporting the Vice President and Franchise Head - NDD, Danaher Diagnostics to in establishing NDD platform partnership strategy across the biopharmaceutical industry.  This position is part of the Disease Area Leadership Group and will be fully remote.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Cocreate disease strategy in NDD and translate functional objectives for alliance management
  • Map critical partners academically as well as in industry building a roadmap and action plan to be reviewed by the platform Disease Area lead, respective Opco partners as well as the broader CIO group.
  • Define goals and KPIs for alliance partnership.
  • Prepare and lead highly visible alliance exchanges with a maximum of preparedness translating objectives of NDD strategy into meeting material and pre-reads as well as follow up notes to be cascaded transparently.
  • Evaluate partnership opportunities and sell services in line with the NDD Strategy and annual plan.  These projects could include new assay discovery, development, validation, analyzing clinical trial samples both retrospective and prospective.  As partnerships evolve, responsibility could evolve to negotiating multi-year companion diagnostic and commercial agreements with partners.
  • Regularly monitor, collect and analyze competitive intelligence to prepare strategic plan for NDD platform.
  • Develop and execute account plans that will include aligning capabilities with pipeline and engagement strategy with customer.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • B.S. in Life Sciences required; M.D., Ph.D., and/or MBA (preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an alliance management role.
  • Experience in business development of increasing levels of responsibility in the medical diagnostics or pharmaceutical field. 
  • Ability to proactively identify and solve complex issues or problems potentially impacting the NDD strategy.
  • Must have demonstrated prior success in interfacing with major strategic partners in pharmaceuticals and/or biotechnology and/or medical devices/diagnostics. 

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:  

  •  Domestic and international travel is required approximately 50-60%.

  • Able to manage in fluid environment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others in both matrixed and direct-line management environments.
  • Uses professional concepts to contribute to the development of company concepts and principles and to achieve objectives in creative and effective ways.

The salary range for this role is $250,000 to $280,000 USD.   This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
