Role Summary:

The Director, Global Bid Management role serves its internal customer, the global sales team, and interface with partner departments in Product, Vendor Management, Sales Engineering, Systems and Service Delivery.

Job Scope/Supervision:

You will be required to maintain regular contact with a variety of internal teams including Account Management, Customer Success, Sales Operations, Service Delivery, Assurance and Finance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the global day to day workflow, interfacing with key customers in the sales organization and outside vendors, assigning resources effectively to manage workload.
  • Aligning cross functional teams to focus on solving business problems that inhibit the company’s ability to produce accurate and competitive quotes in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to highlight and escalate issues that jeopardize global team success; creating alternative solutions and paths for executive attention and action to eliminate risk.
  • Managing a diverse team of players supporting a global sales organization, growing and developing this team, recruiting new talent to the organization.

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience of managing bids in Telecommunications, cloud or complex IT sectors
  • Experience of managing complex and diverse Virtual Bid Teams
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to listen, absorb and understand accurately
  • Exceptional organisation skills
  • A good working understanding of the services and related technologies that GTT provides
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • A good working understanding of all bid areas – technical, operations, commercial, legal etc.
  • Leadership experience

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:

  • APMP / Shipley Qualified to Practitioner level
  • Experience of working with Sales teams using formal Sales Methodology Practices (Miller Heiman)
  • Leadership qualifications and/or experience
