Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our North America DevOps team. This full-time, remote role is based in the Philippines and requires working hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET, aligning with the North America team. The position includes 10 defined Philippine holidays and may require occasional overtime to address critical needs. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and a focus on maintaining reliability, scalability, and high performance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The main responsibilities of a DevOps Engineer include:

Infrastructure Management

Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure using Terraform.
Deploy and manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters to support application development and deployment.
Implement and manage Helm charts for consistent and reliable application deployments.

Continuous Deployment & Automation

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, automating build, test, and deployment processes.
Implement ArgoCD for continuous delivery and deployment automation.

Monitoring & Logging

Set up and manage comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems with Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
Integrate and maintain New Relic for application performance monitoring and critical alerting.

Resource Optimization

Implement Karpenter to optimize resource usage in Kubernetes clusters.

Application Deployment

Collaborate with development teams to deploy Java applications and iOS/Android apps efficiently.
Ensure smooth integration and deployment processes for mobile applications.

Collaboration & Support

Work closely with software engineers, QA teams, and product managers to enhance the development lifecycle.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and application performance.

Security & Compliance

Enforce best practices for secure deployment and compliance with industry standards.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate risks.
