TextNow is looking for a smart, motivated Software Developer who is eager to learn, is passionate about our mission and seeks to improve our ability to maintain high customer satisfaction for our suite of client products.
TextNow'sTrust & Safety team uses technologies like Cloud computing, Golang, micro-services via gRPC, high throughput databases, streaming and queueing. We manage hundreds of millions of user interactions and terabytes of raw data in real-time. As a member of the Trust and Safety team you will gain real world experience with scalable and high performing systems by creating solutions for affordable telecommunications while improving the user experience through developing solutions to identify, stop and prevent nefarious behavior on the platform.
What You'll Do
Maintain and refactor backendsystems to improve our existing detections in languages like Golang, PHP, and python
Conceptualize new systems and strategies to detect, prevent and stop bad actors
Work with Data Science and Site Reliability teams inform new and existing system architecture and strategy
Work with our Fraud Analyst teams to build systems and automation to improve automated detection of bad actors
Participate in a rotating on-call team, responsible for site uptime and critical functions
Participate in a rotating threat management team responsible for monitoring and mitigating real-time threats as they appear on the platform
Triage and debug issues that affect our customers
