Summary
As Illumina’s Senior Product Manager for Multiomics Software solutions, you will support the development and launch of future multiomics analysis products, on-market tools, and drive innovation and adoption across multiple applications, segments, and geographies. This includes capturing voice of customer and performing market analysis to inform the product roadmap, work across teams to commercialize new products, and support Illumina’s leadership in delivering end-to-end multiomics workflows. In this influential role you will work closely with Illumina’s global commercial, marketing, and development teams to shape and execute on a strategy to develop and deploy solutions for a global research customer base.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with market needs, customer insights, and business objectives
- Drive the development of product requirements and go-to-market strategies for new product introductions, informed by direct customer feedback and competitive analysis
- Partner with R&D and technical product managers to clearly define user needs, prioritize problem statements and use cases, and ensure solutions effectively meet those needs
- Support the creation of user documentation, ensuring that product features and benefits are communicated clearly to both internal teams and end-users
- Develop sales tools and go-to-market strategies tailored to new product launches, working with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless commercialization
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to create compelling messaging that resonates with targeted customer segments and differentiates new offerings
- Work directly with Sales teams to define strategies for commercializing new features and product updates, ensuring they are positioned for market success
- Stay current on competitor activities and market trends, identifying key differentiators and opportunities for new product features
- Develop and maintain business cases to support the introduction of new programs and inform go-to-market activities
- Participate in cross-functional programs to advance Illumina’s informatics strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or PhD strongly preferred
- 2-5 years of product management or similar experience
- Experience with genetic analysis is strongly preferred
- Proven experience working directly with customers, translating their needs and use cases into product requirements, and guiding product development
- Familiarity with defining user needs, product requirements, and developing customer-focused solutions is preferred
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to tie detailed analysis to larger strategy
- Strong organization, written, and verbal communication skills are required
- Excellent communication and team management skills are required
- Ability to effectively collaborate in a matrixed or highly cross-functional business setting
Education
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.

The estimated base salary range for the Senior Product Manager, Multiomics Software (Remote Potential) role based in the United States of America is: $105,600 - $158,400. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
