Ready to be a Titan?

ServiceTitan is seeking an exceptional Senior Financial Analyst to join their R&D FP&A team. ServiceTitan is one of the fastest growing tech startups in Southern California, backed by the best VC firms in the SaaS space, and recently ranked #6 on The Cloud 100. This position will report to the Director, R&D FP&A and will enjoy a high level of executive visibility and impact to our rapidly-growing startup.

The ideal candidate will excel in partnering with the business to effectively manage R&D headcount, enhance existing reporting and improve forecasting.

We value strategic and analytical insight, at all levels of the organization, and will depend on your work to achieve the extraordinary! You will be empowered to challenge the status quo, dream big and have a massive impact.

What You'll Do:

  • Headcount Management & Reporting: Proactively manage and action on R&D headcount requests, including role openings, upleveling roles, and contractor conversions. Monitor dynamic headcount changes, organize requests, and build scalable processes for streamlined tracking and approval.

  • Detailed Reporting & Forecasting: Build and maintain comprehensive reports on R&D capitalization, server fees, and monthly spend. Partner with stakeholders to align on budgets, actuals, and forecasts while identifying actionable insights.

  • Software and Vendor Cost Management: Develop schedules for software costs and support detailed vendor-based financial models. Collaborate with R&D and Finance teams to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.

  • KPI Tracking & Data Analytics: Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate R&D spend efficiency. Partner with cross-functional teams to track metrics and identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy.

  • Leadership Reporting: Provide biweekly headcount and spend reports to senior leadership, highlighting trends and actionable recommendations.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with HRBPs and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication across teams and support process improvements.

What You’ll Bring:
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, management consulting, or public accounting at a top firm.

  • Proven experience building and managing financial models, analyzing datasets, and effectively communicating insights.

  • A 4-year degree in a relevant field with strong academic performance.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modeling; experience with Adaptive Planning, Workday HCM, and Financials is preferred but not required.

  • Highly analytical and a strong communicator with excellent organizational skills.

  • A creative thinker with a focus on process improvements and efficiency.

  • Must display initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment, exhibiting the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.

  • Motivated, disciplined, and flexible, with the ability to work effectively and autonomously.

  • Prior experience as a business partner supporting R&D and Product teams is a plus but not required.
