What You’ll Be Doing

The US Capital Markets Human Resources team is seeking an enthusiastic professional who is looking to continue their career in Human Resources. The US Capital Markets Human Resources group delivers integrated human resources solutions to the three main business units of Capital Markets – i.e., Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, and Global Markets.

The HR Specialist, Campus Recruiting, will contribute to day-to-day operations of the team. The role provides high quality recommendations for strategies, timelines and best recruitment practices to recruit for summer internship and fulltime opportunities. Important duties of this role will include: recommending which schools to engage for recruitment activities, sourcing candidates, building and maintaining relationships with Career Centers and Program Managers as well as recommending process and program enhancements.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Partner with US Capital Markets leaders to determine hiring needs and develop tactical hiring plans

  • Coordinating with candidates, colleagues, and universities to schedule phone, video, and on-site interviews

  • Serving as the point of contact with candidates throughout the interview process

  • Drafting candidate term sheets and offer letters

  • Tracking candidates and moving them through the process in Workday

  • Collect all new hire paperwork and maintain intern employee files

  • Run headcount reports and statistical breakdowns

  • Assist with ad hoc projects including creating PowerPoint presentations and excel analysis

Who You Are

You can demonstrate experience with:

  • At least one year of hands-on experience recruiting students from college/university environment

  • Prior experience in a customer service or client-facing role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, prior experience in Outlook is a plus

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $72,000 - $84,000 for the New York, NY, market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
