About the opportunity:

The Senior Interface Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the integration of healthcare systems, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange. This role requires deep expertise in Corepoint and Cerner FSI, as well as leadership in system architecture, testing, and change control to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.

What you will do:
  1. Develop, implement, and maintain complex healthcare interfaces using Corepoint and Cerner FSI to ensure efficient data exchange.
  2. Oversee the overall system architecture, ensuring seamless integration between healthcare systems and compliance with interoperability standards like HL7 and FHIR.
  3. Lead comprehensive testing processes, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance of interfaces.
  4. Manage and oversee change control processes to minimize system risks and ensure successful implementations.
  5. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams and staff, guiding them on best practices and project completion.
  6. Lead and manage interface-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
  7. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to interface performance, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
  8. Work closely with clinical, technical, and administrative stakeholders to ensure interface solutions meet organizational and user requirements.
  9. Continuously monitor interface performance and implement optimizations to enhance system efficiency and reduce latency.
  10. Ensure all interface operations adhere to regulatory standards like HIPAA, and implement best practices for data security and patient confidentiality.

What you will need:
 
Experience:
  • 5 years of experience in interface development and system integration within the healthcare industry.
  • 5 years of experience with healthcare information systems, such as EHRs, practice management systems, and medical imaging systems.
  • 3 years’ experience with the Corepoint Health interface engine.
  • 5 years’ experience experience with Cerner's Foreign System Interface (FSI) and Cerner Millennium.
  • 3 years’ experience healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, HL7, DICOM, and FHIR preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in interface development tools and languages, such as Corepoint, Python, HL7, DICOM, SQL and FHIR preferred.
License(s):
  • N/A
Certification(s):
  • Corepoint level I and II certificates of completion preferred.
Computer / Typing:
  • Basic understanding or ability to obtain basic understanding of enterprise technology and ability to support these tools even outside of expertise; including but not limited to Windows, Operating Systems, Basic computer hardware skills.
  • Must have aptitude for understanding computer software and hardware. Must have the ability to instruct and teach others in software-related topics.
  • Basic knowledge of IT security and policies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must possess the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
 
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per year.
