Role : Digital Architect

This role is extremely strategic, and will drive the Omnichannel Architecture evolution. The recommendations and guidance that this person provides will directly result in future opportunities.

Duration: 6 months (immediate start)

Role Understanding:

  1. Capture Current Architecture (Baseline):
    1. Understand and capture current Northbound Architecture, comprising the Core Digital, Call Center Operations and Retail Operations. This will require working with Contractor Architects as well as Client's Architects – both Central IT and Local IT.
  2. Digital Architecture (Initiatives):
    1. Understand CDO's vision, Digital Transformation Roadmap and business drivers / needs, Digital Performance Objectives (eCommerce, eCare, Call Center, Retail).
    2. Understand Business Product Owners' feature & capability needs, and translate these into technology capabilities & Omnichannel solutions, working in lock-step with Technical Product Owners from the Digital Platform Team & Vendors)
    3. Work With LLA IT (Architecture) to solution integrations with downstream (Mulesoft, Salesforce, OSS/BSS, et) – HLD, LLD.
    4. Work with LLA's Design Team to understand design ambitions (Global Design System, UI/UX aspirations)
    5. Function as a gate-keeper to approve solution design for all Digital Initiatives
  3. Architecture Evolution:
    1. Understand technology roadmap for products that are currently used in the northbound (Digital, Call Center, Retail) landscape and continuously evolve architecture for solutions and applications with a goal towards standardization, reusability and scalability in the short and medium term, and productization in the longer term
    2. Understand current CI/CD pipeline, and work towards evolving CI/CD to fit the client's current and future needs
    3. Focus on evolving architecture solution to support omni-channel operations (eCommerce, eCare, Call Center, Retail)
    4. Evaluate emerging technology options and provide detailed evaluation reports and guidance to Digital Platforms Leader and Chief Digital Officer for decision-making
    5. Continuously evaluate opportunities to automate manual processes through Robotics Process Automation, etc.
  4. Underlying Technology Stack:
    1. The Omnichannel Architect is expected to have experience of architecting solutions in the following broad areas : CMS, Cloud Commerce, Mobile Apps based on iOS & Android, Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), Middleware, Digital Analytics, Digital Marketing, RPA, CRM – Sales & Service, Payment Gateways, Problem Resolution Mgmt., and Retail POS
    2. The current Digital landscape includes a plethora of products that include: Directus CMS, SAP Commerce Cloud + Telco Accelerator, Mulesoft, SAP Emarsys, AWS, etc., and frameworks including PWA Ionic, Angular, Node JS, etc.
    3. Understanding of TM Forum Open API Standards and micro-service architecture.
