Job description

About Synapticure
As a patient and caregiver-founded company, Synapticure provides instant access to expert neurologists, cutting-edge treatments and trials, and wraparound care coordination and behavioral health support in all 50 states through a virtual care platform. Partnering with providers and health plans, including CMS' new GUIDE dementia care model, Synapticure is dedicated to transforming the lives of millions of individuals and their families living with neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and ALS.

The Role
The Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations, will play a pivotal role in driving growth and operational excellence at Synapticure. In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives, optimize business processes, and support decision-making. This role requires a proactive problem solver with a passion for healthcare innovation, analytics, and startups. The ideal candidate has experience leading cross-functional initiatives and identifying process improvements in fast-growing environments like care delivery startups, healthcare consulting, or deploying new initiatives at health systems, ACOs, or payers. You will collaborate effectively across executive and front-line teams, clinical and administrative functions, and data/IT teams to execute on key goals in a remote-first organization.

Job Duties – What you’ll be doing
  • Operational Excellence: Design and optimize workflows to enhance efficiency across teams; monitor key operational metrics and create dashboards for real-time tracking; identify challenges and recommend solutions to achieve business goals.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data to generate actionable insights; develop financial and operational models and performance reports to support strategic initiatives; present findings in a clear, actionable format, using data storytelling.
  • Project Management: Lead cross-functional projects from inception to execution; define project scopes, set timelines, and coordinate team activities; communicate updates and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for organizational innovation; map workflows, identify technology or process gaps, and gather team feedback on potential solutions.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to define business goals and growth strategies; conduct market research and competitive analysis; evaluate potential partnerships, product opportunities, and expansion initiatives.

  • Requirements – What we look for in you
  • 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare startup, consulting firm, or payer/provider organization, with involvement in cross-functional, strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, including advanced spreadsheet-based analysis and moderate proficiency with business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Superset, Tableau) or healthcare-specific platforms (e.g., EHR-specific reporting tools, population health management platforms).
  • Proficiency with project management software, tools, and methodologies, including developing presentations, workflow diagrams, Gantt charts, and risk registers.
  • Enthusiasm for new care models, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to solve problems across various domains.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate and mitigate risks.

  • We’re founded by a patient and caregiver, and we’re a remote-first company. This means our values are at the heart of everything we do, and while we’re located all across the country, these principles are what tie us together around a common identity:
  • Relentless focus on patients and caregivers. We are determined to provide an exceptional experience for every patient we have the privilege to serve, and we put our patients first in everything we do.
  • Embody the spirit and humanity of those living with neurodegenerative disease. Inspired by our founders, families, and personal experiences, we recognize the seriousness of our patients’ circumstances and meet that challenge every day with empathy, compassion, kindness, joy, and most importantly – with hope.
  • Seek to understand, and stay curious. We start by listening to one another, our partners, our patients, and their caregivers. We communicate with authenticity and humility, prioritizing honesty and directness while recognizing we always have something to learn.
  • Embrace the opportunity. We are energized by the importance of our mission and bias toward action.
  • Travel Expectations
This role is fully remote, with occasional travel to company headquarters in Chicago, IL, or other locations as required.
