We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a background in KYC and audits to join our dynamic and diverse team of international experts.

Note: This is a fully remote position, but we will only consider candidates who are residing in Malta.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and Maltese regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and maintain rigorous KYC processes to ensure compliance with international and Maltese financial regulations.
  • Assist the finance team with bookkeeping, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Process online payments, reconcile bank statements, and monitor cash flow to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and file income tax and VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Maltese and EU tax laws.
  • Develop tax planning strategies and manage tax issues to ensure full compliance with Maltese and EU regulations.
  • Assess and mitigate financial and regulatory risks through proactive risk management.
  • Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits to ensure compliance and operational transparency.
  • Support restructuring, acquisition, and merger activities with in-depth financial analysis and auditing.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor internal controls, enhancing processes and procedures to safeguard financial integrity.
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and vendors as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proven experience in KYC, audit, and risk management.
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting principles.
  • Extensive experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Expertise in preparing financial statements and audit coordination.
  • Strong familiarity with tax planning and regulatory compliance in Malta and the EU.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
