Communications Business
By joining the Communications Business within Ultra I&C, your unique talents will be pivotal in shaping global communication for our dedicated warfighters. Your contributions will create cutting-edge solutions that enable precise, timely, and secure exchange of voice, video, and data communications for military applications. These advancements leverage high-capacity tactical radio, advanced waveforms, and state-of-the-art satellite communications technology.
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development – US, the Navy/Marine Corps Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for all US Navy and US Marine Corps business development activities, across both Line of Sight (LOS), Troposcatter, and SATCOM product lines to include the capture of orders and new business; building, cultivating, and managing the relationships with service level customers and industry partners.
The Sr. Business Development Manager must be a self-starter, a leader, and able to develop Navy and Marine Corps customer relationships at various levels and functional areas, especially in the following organizations: PEO Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence & Space (C4I) , NAVWAR System Command, NIWC Atlantic and Pacific, MARCORSYSCOM, MCTSSA, Marine Corps Combat Development & Integration (CD&I), PEO Land Systems, Navy and Marine Corps operational commands, and other executive agencies within the Navy and Marine Corps that play roles in requirements development/integration and acquisition.
Be responsible for developing and leading the Navy and Marine Corps pursuits/business strategies and customer engagement plans.
Develop, identify, advance, win and close Navy and Marine Corps opportunities with a year over year growth mindset
Acts as voice of the customer to provide internal guidance with leadership, program management and engineering
Leads customer meetings, develops presentations, and supports product demonstrations
Ability to work independently with attention to detail and efficiency; should be deadline-oriented and versatile
Obtain market intelligence – systematically acquire the market knowledge and competitive intelligence that will support innovative and successful win strategies
Promote company image and reputation - represent the Company through participation in shows, presentations and other events.
Required Skills:
5+ years of business development and/or capture experience within the US Navy and Marine Corps
Experienced in developing Contact Plans, Customer Affinity, Capturing Customer Requirements, Developing Price To Win as well as Competitive Analysis
Able to travel minimally 40% of the time.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and currently hold an active secret security clearance
Ability to work independently with attention to detail and efficiency; should be deadline-oriented, versatile and move with a sense of urgency when needed
Experience and expertise in government acquisition process, including budgeting, requirements generation, and decision milestones
Desired Skills:
10+ years of business development and/or capture experience within the US Navy and Marine Corps
Experience with setting up various forms of CRADAs, OTAs, and contract vehicles
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or engineering
Communications Officer/Chief with intimate understanding of communications doctrine and technologies preferred
Prior assignment within Navy/USMC executive agency
