Position Overview

EpicMetry is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, Django, and Node.js, with a strong understanding of backend development principles. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side logic, databases, and APIs to support our web applications. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Requirements

• Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain server-side logic and APIs using Python, Django, and Node.js.
• Build efficient, scalable, and secure backend systems to support web applications.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Implement data storage solutions and database schemas to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Optimize application performance and scalability through code improvements and system enhancements.
• Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices through code reviews and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain system stability and functionality.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve backend development practices.
• Qualification & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in Python, Django, and Node.js.
• Strong understanding of backend development principles and best practices.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
