Job description

Are you the type of person who enjoys helping others by reducing friction while improving a process or increasing efficiency?  Do you enjoy working with salespeople to help them close deals?  Perhaps you find yourself working through long-cyle sales deals and enjoy building proposals that perfectly balance  customer’s needs with that of the business. You thrive working in a fast paced environment as a key contributor to help  keep and expand current customer relationships.

We are looking for a trusted advisor to the sales and account management teams who works strategically with those teams on large, complex, and non-standard deals, discounts, contract terms, and commercial structures to get those deals moved along as seamlessly as possible. This person will act as a primary point of contact specifically handling expansion and renewal business  for all the departments and key stakeholders involved in the completion of these highly complex and often non-standard deals. You will build scalable solutions that help our sales teams and leadership make informed decisions and be a vital part in  helping craft deals that drive our revenue growth.

You’ll report to our Sr. Director, Corporate Controller and sit in our Deal Ops function which works collaboratively cross functionally along with inside the Finance Org with Revenue Accounting, FP&A and Strategic Finance.

  • Craft deal strategy: Collaborate with Sales and Account Management teams to develop dynamic proposals for renewals and expansions.
  • Be a Trusted Advisor: Guide large, complex deals by balancing customer needs with company goals and policies.
  • Partner Cross-Functionally: Work closely with the broader Finance Org, Legal, and Product teams to address revenue recognition, pricing, and compliance for non-standard deals.

What you should bring with you
  • Expertise in Deal Strategy: A strong understanding of SaaS business principles, including revenue recognition, ARR, and contracting guidelines.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A creative approach to building customer-centric solutions that align with company policies.
  • Cross-Functional Skills: The ability to build consensus among stakeholders, including Sales, Legal, Finance, and Product teams.
  • Attention to Detail: A knack for defining processes, managing projects, and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Technical Know-How: Experience with Salesforce.com, Slack, and Salesforce CPQ is a plus, along with advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
Additional Notes 

Pay range: $89,800-$130,200 + bonus eligibility and equity.

We believe in paying transparently and equitably. Your salary will ultimately be based on factors such as your experience, skills, team equity, and market data. You’ll also be eligible for unlimited PTO (which we model and encourage), work location flexibility, up to 24 weeks of parental leave, and really excellent health benefits.

Our headquarters is in Herndon, Virginia, however our team is mostly remote, and we have full support for remote interaction. We realize that while there is benefit to in-person interaction, good people don’t all live in Northern Virginia.
