Summary of Job Duties:
Work Shift: Fri-Sun 6:30 pm - 7:00 am
The Registered Nurse (RN) performs telephonic patient triage using decision-making software, assists with patient consults and transports, and uses videoconferencing equipment for telemedicine operations. The RN practices within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.
Valid RN License.
One (1) year of Registered Nursing experience.
Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethic, and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five (5) years of Registered Nursing experience.
Critical Care, ED experience.
Phone Triage.
Hospital Transfer.
Case Coordination.
Telephone etiquette, Labor and Delivery, or High-Risk antepartum service.

Responsibilities:
Conduct patient triage via phone or videoconferencing.
Document interactions in the EMR.
Manage inbound patient transports, including preregistration, coordination, and nurse-to-nurse reporting.
Facilitate communication between UAMS, statewide physicians, and consultation services while providing administrative and clinical support for ARSAVES, Trauma Image Repository, and research activities.
Track call center metrics, including referrals and case-managed patients.
Generate reports to enhance operational efficiency and quality of care.
Serve as a professional role model, mentor staff, facilitate team collaboration, and support recruitment, retention, and training initiatives.
Assist with planning goals, organizing tasks, and utilizing resources effectively within budgetary constraints.
Demonstrate multitasking and independent decision-making skills to address complex or emergent situations, ensuring optimal call center operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
