Job Title: Part-time LPN

Job Summary:

Experienced Licensed Practical Nurse for immediate hire for our residential drug treatment program. LPN'S who are interested in pursuing a career in the behavioral health and addiction field are encouraged to consider available positions with Argus Community, Inc. Our OASAS - licensed residential treatment program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting initial health and ongoing clinical assessments.
  • Overseeing administration of medications and monitoring adherence.
  • Coordinating medical treatment and follow up with community medical providers.
  • Working closely with consulting psychiatrist and psychiatric nurse practitioner.
  • Insuring seamless procurement of prescription medication from partnering pharmacies.
  • Maintaining records as per state and agency regulations.
  • Providing training for program staff.
  • Meeting with directors and program staff to insure continuity of care.
  • Providing emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
  • Related duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications/Criteria:

NYS LPN license; experience in working with mentally ill chemically dependent adults; basic computer literacy; CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR; ability to work under stress; ability to communicate effectively with residents and health care professionals; flexibility and physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

  • Compensation competitive; based on clinical ability & experience.
