Consulting/Principal Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Principal Software Engineer with an interest in search, optimization & indexing, interest in learning and exploring LLMs etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrable coding skills in Python

  • Should have worked on the full stack application development using the UI/UX technologies like React, NodeJS etc

  • Good hands-on experience with Search technologies

  • Should be able to translate the requirements into a possible POC by identifying right technologies, findings alternative solutions and picking the best possible solution.

  • Should be able to come up with the new UI Design, Data modelling and showcase to the Product team for their approval before implementing with the team

  • Work closely with the team, explain the requirements and the design approach, help to support them to resolve any technical challenges they face

  • Experience with databases, NoSQL data stores and knowledge of SQL

  • Experience with version control systems (ideally Git)

  • Experience with CI (ideally Jenkins)

  • Ability to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs

  • Advanced problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues

  • Advanced communication (verbal and written) skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable

  • Understanding / exposure to LLM, prompt engineering, Gen AI etc would be an added advantage

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Software Engineering experience. BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred
