The Department of Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands seeks a faculty member to serve as Clinical Coordinator to support the Department of Counseling. Primary responsibilities will include facilitating student placement for practicum and internship courses, reviewing and approving students’ clinical (practicum, internship I & II) applications, responding to inquiries about clinical experiences, and keeping records pertinent to student progress. Selected candidate would not be required to teach but would have the option to do so in addition to the Clinical Coordinator role. The Department of Counseling hires and respects a diverse faculty. Required Qualifications:

  • Earned CACREP accredited Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision  
  • Counseling Licensure
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to use office management software and Learning Management Systems (i.e Microsoft 365 applications, Tevera, and Blackboard)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the mental health field, including familiarity with various clinical settings such as outpatient, inpatient, community-based, private practice, and school-based mental health services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable of CACREP-accredited counseling programs
  • Work experience in clinical mental health and/or addiction treatment
  • Experience using Tevera for records management
